I admit, I was being a bit hypocritical in this article, and that line you quoted is something I’ve run into as a product of my learning path, which started with high level tools and only later returned to the fundamentals. I agree with you completely, we should never frown upon any tools that make people productive or passionate. I do think it’s useful to provide a nudge toward the next-lower level every so often though :) Thanks for reading.
